OK, so it might be cheating to add an equipment review to the library - but hay, you NEED to know this stuff!
The Paper Tagger is the HOTTEST new thing around in crafting at the moment, I have seen sites take advantage of this - trying to sell you one for £20 + postage when you should be paying around £14.
Now you know me - I am not into gadgets and 'toys', but I saw this and I thought it would be useful to tag my albums with price tags (they are alway coming out of their bags at shows) as well as adding 'swinging' charms and tags to cards and things.
OK so why not just buy a shop style gun thingie? Well, the needle on this gun is finer for a start - so you cause less damage to the paper. You need to remember that all paper cutting / punching / folding causes damage to the paper fibres, and the less damage you cause the more integrity the paper retains - so is stronger. And the second reason is that the shop style guns sell for around £16 (unless you pinch one) and you are stuck with the boring tails.
The crafting guns are smaller, neater, (cuter), cheaper than the commercial ones AND you can have different coloured tails to hang your charms from. They are not wildly expensive, and will last for years with a bit of care.
It is really easy to use. You tuck the tail strip in behind the needle - you can't get it wrong because the hole is shaped to only take them one way. And when you pull the handle it shoots out the first one off the strip, so you can take it out and change the colour - that's really neat and non-wasteful (right up my street). Anyway, You slot the charm / tag / embellishment / over the needle - push it through the card where you want the thing to hang - and g e n t l y squeeze the trigger. It is fascinating to watch it work.
I have tried out mine on a couple of projects and am really pleased with the results.
So this gets the kittens THUMBS UP and I think it will be a really useful tool for years.
