LAYERED THANK YOU CARD (December 20, 2007)
This is so easy and a brilliant way of using up all sorts of scraps. You can make it to any size card or make it as a topper, just by altering the size of the panel.
1. You will need 4 pieces of co-ordinating (or clashing) paper, you can use anything. Your card blank - mine is DL. A scrap piece for the panel - this will be totally covered so you can use up anything. And a couple of pieces to mat the panel onto.
2. Cut or tear strips of the paper an start to cover over the
panel. You can ink the edges of the paper if you like this effect or run a tiny bit of glitter glue along them. Don't worry about trying to keep the edges straight - we will cut them neatly.

3. When you have totally covered the panel, turn it over so you can see the overhangs - and trim them off
4. Then you can mat them up with 1 or 2 layers and set them on the front of your card. You can cover the rough paper edges with ribbons or peel off lines if you have not inked them - to give them a neat edge. You can see I have done one of each to show you
I wrote 'thank you' in pearly green - but you Could use peel offs or die cut lettering. And of course you could use 'happy birthday' or anything.
