Medallion Treasure Box stamps

(April 03, 2008)
F-TREASURE BOX STAMP 04You must have seen these 'Treasure Box' stamps, they are quite big - a funny shape - and a bit pricey.

I have always loved the idea - and the designs are gorgeous - but been put off by the cost - about £12 - and after making the box - what? ? ?

Centre stage Barbara - with a plan!

You can stamp, emboss, paint and make a box (which, 1 did in cream - 1 did in just black embossed white).  Takes at least 6 panels of the whole stamp, but I expect you could do 7 or 8 to make it bigger.

BUT
F-TREASURE BOX STAMP 01

Some of of us used just the centre and first top curve and made a screen card.  (Black card x 4 - embossed with white - backed onto red card to make screen.)

THEN
F-TREASURE BOX STAMP 03

We made a box to put it in using just the central panel.  And the centres do stand up to being used alone - there are clear 'channels' between the various areas to let you chop and change.

AND

F-TREASURE BOX STAMP 02
We got smart
and used the centre panel with the right side tab - and made little gift cards.  One stamp, mounted onto card and cut to follow the shape - punch a hole top left and add ribbon.

I can see the potential and you can do quite a bit with just one stamp - got loads of H2Os waiting!  OK - so now I want one!  I was very good (considering what I spent on paper last month), and I did not buy one.  I have only got 1 class this month so I can see a 'treat' to make up for missing one in a couple of weeks!
