Crafter's Corner EASTER BASKET (April 10, 2009)
This is princelet's basket for his Easter egg hunt - I know, ohh bless him.
A basket is sooo easy - trust me I am a designer!
This is all you do
You need a piece of paper/card/velum that you can divide into 3 sections on each side. This can be as flexible as you like - it's all in the 'how it works' rather than exact instructions. And you need a strip for the handle - if you want one.
If you use an rectangle shape paper, you will get a rectangle shaped basket - just think 3s.
score and fold each side into 3 sections. The very middle section is your base
Cut little triangles out of 2 opposite sides - use scrap paper and play with it, see what it will do.
All you do is pull the outer cut sides up over the middle cut side and attach. Use double sided tape - or brads - or glue.
IDEAS:-
-
Add a handle - don't add a handle
-
Add embelishment's
-
Cut - paint a pattern on the outer sides
-
Use seasonal papers - Christmas - Birthday - Easter etc
-
Use to hold nuts - crisps at a party to match your colour scheme - and throw away (what better)
-
Use for make up on your dressing table - or cotton wool
-
Party/wedding favour baskets - how cool is that!
-
Special gift basket
AND no-one will know how easy it is!!
