08-04-16 BAD SERVICE

Do you visit the 'Do Craft site?  -  I do, there is such a wealth of info in there, the folks are chatty and friendly and it's great.  It is fairly baseline simple - and that is where I am with my stamping! - also, I try to help others who are just starting with paper crafting, and pitch in where I can.  ( http://www.docrafts.co.uk/ ). 
 
My goodness, what a fuss there has been over this weekend.  Real nasty stuff going on.
 
Apparently, one of the companies that stock a lot of Do Craft stuff has received tons of negative reports on the Do Craft site.  They have complained to Do Craft about unfair harassment.  Well, they would not all be moaning for nothing.   Hope that makes sense - it is very complicated.
 
The kitten has it on reasonable authority that the site complaining about the negative feed back is  .  .  .  .  .   .  .  .   Arty Miss.  .  .  .  .  SOO - how many of you are saying 'no news there then'?
 
Here is my take:-
 
We ALL make mistakes - yep we do!  You got to put it right.
 
Even if we get it perfect - the customer does not always like the finished result.
 
WELL, that's what working with customers is all about.
 
There is a very old saying among shop staff -  'life would be perfect if only the customers didn't mess it up'.  BUT that's life guys.  When we get it wrong - for whatever reason - we apologise, we ask what we can do to put it right, then we offer what we can do, AND we do it, plus we send the customer a little 'extra' to make up for it.
 
I had a horrendous day yesterday trying to get a new camera/printer set - I was left feeling guilty that the company mis-sold a package, without all the data leads, because I was supposed to know that all the parts weren't there.  NOT ONCE did any one say say - oops, sorry you are upset, yes I see your point - WHAT CAN WE DO?  We will do  SOMETHING!
 
Well I just got my money back, and went somewhere else - YOU CAN'T DO THAT ON LINE!!!
 
I (and loads of others) put my work out there, on trust.  I am honest, hard working, reliable, obliging, I am an open book.  Guys like Arty Miss ( and I am sorry to have to name the name!) bring us all down.  I have only ever had 1 bad experience with on line buying - and - yep you guessed it.  They did not send my order - ignored my emails - then, short changed me - miss-sold to me - and ignored my follow up emails.  I got off lightly - at least I got some of my order, a couple of quid I can right off to experience, and NEVER go there again.  Others have not been so lucky.
 
We are in for a tight year all round - the newspapers are telling us - so you HAVE to look after the client.  The Internet puts us all in each other's laps and we have to be honest.
 
Arty Miss  -  -  -  (and I have said it before - to them - so I am not telling tales out of school) you have real problems.   I do wish you all the best, but you really must get your problems sorted out, talk to your customers, fill your orders, apologise when you get it wrong, SAY SORRY, do something other that ignoring emails.
 
Other wise  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  you have a bigger problem.
