Have you got a 'don't know' box?
I have.
What do you mean, you don't know what a 'don't know' box is???
It's the place you put all those cards, you know the ones that are not quite finished - or - you have tried a new technique and then got stuck - or - you have not quite got the embellishment right - or - you (well I) have messed the text up - or - the colours don't quite work - or - you have made it upside down - or - oh, well and so on and so on!!
As I am going on holiday in a couple of days I don't want to start anything big, so I am having a desk clear and sort out of that box that I 'don't know' what to do with - get it?.
Some things are fairly easy. A half finished card with a technique that I was playing with only needs a greeting and a bit of embellishment. The card that I have messed up the text need a new text plate done. The ones with the embellishments that don't quite work can be cut down to 6" square and have a new text plate added with a bit of embellishment.
And there are some things are just DREADFUL and only fit for the bin. It is really hard to admit it; after all you created it, built it: gave 'birth' to it - but sometimes the best action you can take is just throw it out!
I have salvaged several bit and bobs added to the shop stock. Now the more difficult stuff is left. The Christmas experiment - keep or chuck? oh and the odd ball stuff that I really need to convince myself was a mistake and just rescue what I can from (if only my dignity).
So - do you have a 'don't know' box: or are you about to start one?
