08-06-16 FOOD LOVERS' FAIR (June 16, 2008)
We were so lucky with the weather this week-end. The rain held off, the wind was a bit blustery - but not too bad: and we did a bit of work.
The NW Fine Food Lovers' Fair (www.nwfinefood.co.uk) held every year on the Westmoreland Show Ground, Crooklands, is the biggest food festival in the region. This is the first year that we have been to it
This is the stall - all set up and ready to go - the old goat is to the right.
They gave me a huge table - great!!! and tucked me under the 'resting' marquee.
Thing is . . . . .
. . . .on one side was a sausage van . . . .
And right in front of me . . . . . 
. . . THE BEER TENT. . .
That's me in trouble which ever way I look!!!
I had a few folk to chat to - the old goat was very busy. I actually meat another calligrapher! Doesn't happen often - we are a rare breed. It was so nice to be able to talk to someone about the technical stuff for a change.
The show was amazing - so much variety of food stuffs (and liqueur), so much knowledge, and such passion for what they do. It is amazing to listen to someone like that; you can't help coming away all enthused by it all.
