  The THURSDAY Scrap Book Sketch
08-05-15 TELL A STORY (May 15, 2008)
Now that the lovely weather is here we will all be having b-b-qs, summer parties, end of year school events will be starting soon - and the garden is starting to burst all over, so this sketch can be used to record the whole story on one layout. 4 Small photos - 1 large one - plenty of space for journaling and a flourish to pull it all together.

I am so pleased with this one!! It is quite time consuming and you have to be really brave to work directly over your photos.
The photos are of a flower festival that I helped out with at church a while back, so it all blends in together really well with the garland.
I used the same technique as in the Christmas floral garland in the design section, but I used lots of paler green background foliage, punched yellow and gold flower and added lots of tiny pink, white, green and yellow gems. As the garland is so long I also added a few of the smaller size flower brads (yep, my fave). PS you can stamp over your photos if you ink the stamp with Whispers permanent pens - and clean with staz-on cleaner.
